1. About Opponent

Opponent is a platform that helps users discover and connect with other athletes, players, coaches, and sports communities.

Opponent allows users to:

• create and join sports matches,
• discover players and coaches,
• communicate through chats and communities,
• share profiles, ratings, and sports-related content,
• use matchmaking and recommendation features,
• access premium subscriptions and promotional tools.

Opponent is a technology platform only. Opponent does not organize sports events, employ coaches, operate sports venues, or supervise offline activities between users.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

By using Opponent, you confirm that:

• you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement,
• all information you provide is accurate,
• you will comply with these Terms and applicable laws.

Opponent may suspend or terminate accounts that violate eligibility requirements.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features, you may need to create an account using:

• Apple Sign In,
• Google Sign In,
• or other supported authentication methods.

You are responsible for:

• maintaining account security,
• restricting access to your device,
• all activity under your account.

You agree not to:

• create fake accounts,
• impersonate another person,
• share accounts,
• use automated systems or bots,
• sell or transfer your account.

Opponent may remove usernames, profiles, or content that violate these Terms.

4. Sports Participation and Assumption of Risk

Participation in sports and physical activities involves inherent risks, including:

• injuries,
• illness,
• accidents,
• physical harm,
• property damage,
• or death.

By using Opponent and participating in matches, trainings, or sports activities, you acknowledge and accept these risks voluntarily.

You are solely responsible for:

• your physical condition,
• your health and medical decisions,
• your participation in any activity arranged through the Service,
• evaluating whether another user, coach, or activity is appropriate for you.

Opponent does not provide medical advice, fitness advice, or safety guarantees.

If you have medical concerns, consult a qualified healthcare professional before participating in sports activities.

5. Offline Interactions

Opponent enables users to connect and arrange offline meetings and activities.

You understand and agree that:

• Opponent does not supervise offline interactions,
• Opponent does not conduct criminal background checks,
• Opponent does not verify the identity, qualifications, certifications, or safety of users or coaches,
• offline meetings occur entirely at your own risk.

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users.

Opponent is not responsible for:

• injuries,
• harassment,
• assault,
• fraud,
• theft,
• disputes,
• property damage,
• misconduct,
• or any other incidents occurring offline.

We encourage users to:

• meet in public places,
• exercise caution,
• report suspicious behavior,
• avoid sharing sensitive personal or financial information.

6. Coaches and Training Services

Opponent may allow coaches, trainers, or instructors to create profiles and offer services.

Coaches are independent users of the platform and are not employees, agents, representatives, or partners of Opponent.

Opponent does not:

• verify coaching licenses or certifications,
• guarantee qualifications or experience,
• guarantee training quality or outcomes,
• supervise training sessions.

Any agreement, payment, or arrangement between a user and a coach is solely between those parties.

Opponent is not responsible for:

• cancellations,
• refunds,
• pricing disputes,
• injuries during training,
• coaching quality,
• or business relationships between users.

7. Match Hosts and User Events

Users who create matches, sessions, or sports activities through the Service ("Match Hosts") are solely responsible for:

• organizing the activity,
• communicating with participants,
• selecting venues,
• determining participation requirements,
• managing attendance,
• and making safety-related decisions.

Opponent does not organize or control user-created events.

8. Ratings, Reviews, and Matchmaking

Opponent may provide:

• ratings,
• reviews,
• sports levels,
• vibe scores,
• matchmaking recommendations,
• ranking systems,
• and similar features.

These features are based on user-generated feedback, automated systems, and platform activity.

You understand and agree that:

• ratings and reviews are subjective opinions,
• sports levels may change over time,
• matchmaking recommendations may be inaccurate,
• Opponent does not guarantee compatibility, skill accuracy, behavior, attendance, or match quality.

Opponent may:

• modify ranking systems,
• adjust algorithms,
• remove ratings or reviews,
• limit visibility,
• or disable certain recommendation features at any time.

9. User Content

You may upload or share:

• profile information,
• photos,
• videos,
• descriptions,
• messages,
• reviews,
• comments,
• and other content ("User Content").

You retain ownership of your User Content.

However, by submitting User Content, you grant Opponent a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

• host,
• store,
• display,
• reproduce,
• modify for technical purposes,
• and distribute your content within the Service.

You are solely responsible for your User Content.

You agree not to upload or share content that:

• is illegal,
• abusive,
• defamatory,
• sexually explicit,
• discriminatory,
• threatening,
• misleading,
• fraudulent,
• invasive of privacy,
• or infringes intellectual property rights.

Opponent may remove content or suspend accounts at its sole discretion.

10. Chats and Communities

Opponent may provide messaging, chats, or community features.

You agree to use these features respectfully and lawfully.

You may not:

• harass or intimidate others,
• send spam or scams,
• promote illegal activity,
• distribute malicious software,
• impersonate others,
• share explicit content,
• collect user data without permission.

Opponent may monitor, moderate, restrict, or remove chats, communities, or accounts to protect users and the platform.

11. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• violate laws or regulations,
• create fake profiles,
• manipulate ratings or reviews,
• abuse reporting systems,
• scrape or harvest data,
• interfere with platform functionality,
• use the Service for commercial spam,
• post misleading sports qualifications,
• engage in dangerous or violent conduct,
• attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts.

Opponent reserves the right to investigate and take action against violations.

12. Community Standards and Zero-Tolerance Policy

Opponent maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward objectionable content and abusive behavior.

Users may not post, share, transmit, or promote content that is:

• abusive,
• harassing,
• hateful,
• threatening,
• sexually exploitative,
• violent,
• discriminatory,
• fraudulent,
• illegal.

Users who violate these rules may have content removed without notice and may be permanently suspended from the platform.

12.1 Reporting Violations

Users may report content, messages, profiles, communities, or other activity that violates these Terms.

Opponent reviews reports and may remove content, restrict accounts, or permanently ban users where appropriate.

12.2 Blocking Users

Users may block other users at any time.

Blocked users will no longer be able to contact the user through chats or other communication features of the Service.

12.3 Content Moderation

Opponent reviews reports of objectionable content and abusive behavior and aims to take appropriate moderation action within 24 hours of receiving a valid report.

13. Premium Features, Subscriptions, and Boosts

Opponent may offer:

• subscriptions,
• premium memberships,
• boosts,
• profile promotion,
• enhanced visibility,
• or other paid features.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled through the applicable app store platform.

Prices, features, and availability may change at any time.

Boosts and premium features increase visibility only and do not guarantee:

• matches,
• profile views,
• messages,
• bookings,
• responses,
• or business results.

Payments are processed through third-party platforms such as:

• Apple App Store,
• Google Play.

Refunds are subject to the policies of those platforms unless otherwise required by law.

14. Intellectual Property

The Service, including:

• software,
• branding,
• design,
• graphics,
• interfaces,
• algorithms,
• rankings,
• and platform functionality,

is owned by Opponent or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• copy,
• modify,
• reverse engineer,
• distribute,
• or exploit the Service without permission.

15. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

Opponent may collect and process information including:

• profile data,
• location information,
• usage analytics,
• device information,
• communications,
• and uploaded content.

By using the Service, you consent to such processing as described in the Privacy Policy.

16. Account Suspension and Termination

Opponent may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts at any time if:

• these Terms are violated,
• user behavior creates risks,
• fraudulent or abusive activity is detected,
• moderation action is necessary,
• or platform integrity is affected.

Opponent may also:

• remove content,
• limit visibility,
• disable features,
• or block access to the Service.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

17. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available."

Opponent makes no warranties regarding:

• availability,
• reliability,
• safety,
• accuracy,
• compatibility,
• uninterrupted operation,
• or user behavior.

Opponent does not guarantee:

• successful matchmaking,
• coach quality,
• event attendance,
• sports results,
• or compatibility between users.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, all warranties are disclaimed.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Opponent and its affiliates, directors, employees, and partners shall not be liable for:

• indirect damages,
• lost profits,
• loss of data,
• injuries,
• property damage,
• emotional distress,
• disputes between users,
• offline incidents,
• or damages arising from use of the Service.

Opponent's total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Opponent during the previous 12 months.

Some jurisdictions may not allow certain limitations, so some provisions may not apply to you.

19. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Opponent and its affiliates from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from:

• your use of the Service,
• your User Content,
• your offline activities,
• your interactions with other users,
• or your violation of these Terms.

20. Changes to the Service

Opponent may:

• modify,
• suspend,
• discontinue,
• or update the Service or any feature at any time without liability.

Features may vary by region, platform, or subscription type.

21. Changes to These Terms

Opponent may update these Terms periodically.

Updated Terms become effective upon posting.

Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

22. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Estonia, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws.
